Jakarta, July 8, 2025 – PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) has strengthened its commitment to supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by launching PackFest 2025, a packaging innovation program designed to boost product quality and market competitiveness.

Organized by Telkom’s Rumah BUMN, PackFest provides subsidies of up to 50% for MSMEs to upgrade their product packaging with improved design and materials. Since its launch in March, the program has engaged 636 MSMEs across 90 regions and Rumah BUMN centers nationwide, producing more than 516,500 upgraded packaging units.

The initiative offers a range of modern packaging options, including metallized paper and aluminum foil in various sizes, with both zipper and non-zipper formats.

Nurhayati, owner of Asakawa, an MSME supported by Rumah BUMN Koba, shared how the program has transformed her business.

“I used to think high-quality packaging was expensive and complicated. But through PackFest, I learned how to choose the right materials, create professional designs, and include proper nutrition labels. Now my products look more professional and are easier to market,” she said.

PackFest not only tackles common MSME challenges—such as limited design knowledge and budget constraints—but also contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.

Hery Susanto, Senior General Manager of Telkom’s Social Responsibility Unit, emphasized the program’s broader mission:

“PackFest is more than just about packaging. It’s part of Telkom’s effort to strengthen Indonesia’s MSMEs, enabling them to reach wider markets with more competitive, high-value products,” he explained.

Telkom integrates economic, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into all its initiatives under its Tanggung Jawab Sosial dan Lingkungan (TJSL) program. By helping MSMEs improve their packaging, Telkom ensures local products are better prepared to compete in both national retail and digital marketplaces.

Indonesia is home to over 66 million MSMEs, contributing approximately US$130 billion (around IDR 2,194 trillion) to the national economy. Through PackFest, Telkom provides real, measurable support—helping local businesses truly level up and become more competitive in today’s market.
