Network capacity increased to 58,4 tbps or up by 11% compared to previous year.

To meet the increasing needs of the community during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr (RAFI) 2025/1446H, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) ensures the readiness of digital telecommunications infrastructure and services to run optimally throughout Indonesia. TelkomGroup is implementing strategic initiatives ranging from strengthening digital infrastructure and services, preparing and optimizing resources, to spreading joy through various social activities. These steps are in line with the Indonesian government's Asta Cita mission to foster digital inclusivity, accelerate digital transformation, and improve the digital economy in Indonesia.
At the TelkomGroup Readiness Press Conference for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr (RAFI) 2025/1446H at the Indonesian Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, on Tuesday (18/3), Telkom President Director Ririek Adriansyah said, “We understand that the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period are moments where communication is crucially needed, whether for social gatherings, digital entertainment, digital transactions, and other digital activities. Furthermore, the appeal to work from anywhere (WFA) and the extension of the Eid holiday will increase internet demand. We are fully committed to maintaining service quality by ensuring optimal network performance, sufficient capacity, and providing the best digital experience for all Indonesians so that they can experience this special moment smoothly and comfortably.”
The press conference was moderated by the spokesperson for the Indonesian Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, Putri Violla, and attended by Telkom's Network and IT Solution Director, Herlan Wijanarko, and Telkomsel's Sales Director, Adiwinahyu Basuki Sigit.
Customer convenience has always been a priority and main focus for the company, serving both retail (Business-to-Consumer/B2C) and corporate (Business-to-Business/B2B) during the RAFI 2025 period. Currently, TelkomGroup has 158.4 million Telkomsel customers, 9.69 million IndiHome customers, 590,000 MSME customers, 2,300 corporate customers, and 700 government customers.
TelkomGroup has prepared optimal infrastructure and IT tools, including the readiness of international traffic routes through the Batam and Manado gateways with 14 Telkom submarine cable infrastructures operating redundantly. During this year's RAFI period, a surge in broadband traffic is projected to reach 20.35 Tbps, a 28% increase from the previous period. To anticipate this, TelkomGroup is increasing its network capacity to 58.4 Tbps, an 11% increase compared to the previous year.

To enhance better customer experience, TelkomGroup has mapped and secured telecommunications infrastructure at 476 points of interest, including tourist destinations, shopping centers, transportation hubs (airports, seaports, train stations), homecoming routes (rest areas, gas stations), residential areas, and places of worship. TelkomGroup has strengthened more than 234,000 Telkomsel 4G and 5G base transceiver stations (BTS), with 5G services now available in 56 cities nationwide. Data traffic is expected to rise by 16% compared to the previous RAFI period—or 13.16% above normal days—reaching 69.14 Petabytes (PB) at its peak.
To ensure reliability, TelkomGroup has conducted network rehearsals and drive tests within over 17,000 km of main roads, tollways, railways, and ferry routes, along with stress tests, availability assessments, connection stability monitoring, and enhanced cybersecurity measures.
Furthermore, the reliability of TelkomGroup’s digital infrastructure and services are monitored regularly at 57 RAFI command posts, including national, regional, local, and subsidiary levels. A total of 480 command center personnel will be on duty 24/7 from March 26 to April 8, 2025, supported by 9,000 field technicians who are part of an integrated collaboration across the TelkomGroup. Service monitoring is implemented through advanced applications, devices, and daily reporting mechanisms to the national command post.
